Privacy Policy

This policy describes how information is handled in the macOS application “GRFR” (the “App”).
Summary
The App does not collect or transmit any user data, personal or otherwise.
The App is a fully local application. No account is required, it contains no analytics, no behavioral tracking, and no advertising, and your video files and metadata never leave your Mac.
Data the App Handles and Where It Is Stored
All data the App reads and writes is stored only on your Mac’s local storage.

None of this data is ever received by the developer or any third party.
File Access
The App runs inside the macOS App Sandbox. It accesses your files only within the scope you explicitly grant (folders you allow via the file selection dialog or drag and drop, plus ~/Movies). Access grants are stored only on your Mac and can be reviewed and removed at any time in the App’s settings.
Network Communication
The App itself never sends your data anywhere. The only network communication that occurs while you use the App is the communication that macOS StoreKit conducts with the App Store to process in-app purchases and verify purchase status. This communication is handled by Apple and is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy. It never includes your video files or metadata.
What Is Not Collected
- Account information (there is no account system at all)
- Usage or behavioral logs (no telemetry or analytics tools are built into the App)
- Advertising identifiers (the App shows no ads)
- Location, contacts, or any other sensitive information
Statistics the Developer May Receive
Apple provides the developer with anonymized, aggregated statistics such as download and sales counts. In addition, for users who have opted in via macOS settings (Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements), Apple also provides crash reports. Both are functions of Apple’s App Store, not something the App collects itself. The developer cannot identify any individual from these anonymized statistics.
In-App Purchases
Payments are processed by Apple. The developer never receives your name, address, credit card details, or any other payment information.
Information Received Through Inquiries
If you contact the developer by email, the developer receives your email address and the content of your inquiry. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry, is not used for any other purpose, and is not shared with third parties.
Sharing with Third Parties
Because the App collects no user data, there is no data to share with third parties.
Children’s Privacy
The App collects no data from users of any age.
For Users Outside Japan (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
The App does not collect, process, or store personal data. Accordingly, as a rule there is no data held by the developer that could be subject to access, deletion, or other requests under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), or similar laws. For information received in the course of responding to inquiries (such as your email address), you can request access, correction, or deletion via the details on the Contact page.
About the Website
The App’s website (https://grfr.shikakun.com/, including the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and file format specification pages) uses the following services to understand how the site is used. These apply to the website only; the App itself still collects and transmits nothing.
- Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC): uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze browsing activity such as pages viewed, referrers, browser type, and approximate region. Collected information may be processed on Google’s servers, including in the United States. For how Google handles this data, see “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services”. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by disabling cookies in your browser.
- Cloudflare analytics (provided by Cloudflare, Inc.): the website is served through Cloudflare, which processes access logs (including IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site and to aggregate visit counts. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy for details.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with its effective date. Any material change to data handling (such as beginning to collect anything) will be announced before the corresponding app update.
Language
The governing text of this policy is the Japanese version (プライバシーポリシー). This English version is provided for reference; if there is any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.
